DAY 1

Assistance on arrival at International airport

Arrive Delhi, the Political Capital of India. Delhi is history, and the monuments are tablets on which the history is written. Every conqueror did his best to possess Delhi and make it his capital. It is not a single city but a combination of eight cities that have been established here from as early as 900 BC to 1930 when the British completed the construction of New Delhi as the capital of Imperial India. It is therefore not surprising that the monuments of Delhi successfully mirror the development of the architectural styles in the country. On arrival at the airport lounge, you will be welcomed by TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS executive holding a placard and will assist you with a transfer.

    DAY 2

    Full day city tour of Old and New Delhi, visiting Spice Market with Rickshaw ride, Jama Masjid, followed by drive past through New Delhi with visit to Qutub Minar

    Proceed for a full day city tour, begin with Old Delhi with a drive past Red Fort to reach Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India built in red sandstone. Between the mosque and Chandni Chowk is a narrow shop-lined street along which you will be transported by cycle rickshaws on your most exhilarating journey of the tour. A rickshaw ride will take you through markets buzzing with people going about their daily chores, vendors selling their wares and shops decorated and ready for business. Also visit Khari Baoli, a street in Old Delhi, known for its wholesale groceries and Asia's largest wholesale spice market selling all kinds of spices, nuts, herbs and other food products. Enjoy a drive past through the government buildings of New Delhi and conclude your day with a visit to Qutab Minar; being one of the most important landmarks of Delhi, with calligraphy decorated interiors as well as inscriptions of verses of the Holy Quran.

    DAY 3

    Travel to Agra

    Assistance on departure and travel to Agra, the home to India's most famous landmark, the Taj Mahal. A poem of white marble, the Taj is described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love.

    DAY 4

    Full day city tour visiting Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Marble Workshop

    Early morning visit India’s most iconic landmark, the Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The epitome of love, standing majestically on the banks of the river Yamuna, was built in the 17th century by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his queen. Made with pure white marble, ornated with semi-precious stones and built around a beautiful four gardens plan, it is universally admired as the greatest achievement in the whole range of Indo-Islamic architecture. Next visit Agra Fort built by Emperor Akbar, made with red sandstone, exhibits a fascinating mixture of Islamic and Hindu styles of artistry. On way back, visit Marble factory to witness artisans creating beautiful marble handicrafts whose ancestors had worked during the construction of the Taj.

    DAY 5

    Travel to Kalakho

    Assistance on departure and travel to Kalakho, situated amidst the Aravalli Hills, a beautiful and unexplored destination, surrounded by hills and forests, in the background of Thar Desert. People here still maintain their original ways of living. It is an amazing place to experience an authentic Rajasthani village, locals, their lifestyle, traditions and culture.

    Check in at your hotel, later experience Heena painting and Turban tying

    On arrival check in at your accommodation, later in the afternoon get a henna tattoo from the village ladies and men can learn the art of Rajasthani Turban tying.

    DAY 6

    Visit an authentic Rajasthani village by Jugad ride, later travel to Jaipur

    Morning enjoy a farm-fresh breakfast and visit an authentic Rajasthani village by Jugad ride, the way locals do and to get an insight in real rural India. Later travel to Jaipur, the pink city of India. Afternoon enjoy a hands-on experience with block printing, next visit a jewelry shop to witness how precious and semi-precious stones are cut to perfection. Evening free to relax and stay two nights in Jaipur.

    DAY 7

    Full day city tour visiting Amber fort with Jeep ride, en-route photo stop at Hawa Mahal, visit to City Palace Museum, Jantar Mantar, and evening free to explore local market

    Morning tour of Jaipur starts with a drive to Amber fort. En-route photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace). Next visit City Palace Museum which boasts to have some of the priceless handwritten Hindu scriptures, miniature delicate paintings, preserved painted ceilings and the elephant saddles (haudas). Visit Jantar Mantar; one of the famed observatories, a complex of astronomical instruments chiselled out of stone which provides fairly accurate information to the day. Later explore through the colourful and chaotic streets, shopping for souvenirs like silver jewellery, precious and semi-precious stones such as diamonds, topaz and emeralds, embroidered clothing and quilts, block printed textiles, lacquered brass work, miniature marble carvings and blue potteries.

    DAY 8

    Travel to Jojawar

    In time assistance on departure and travel to Jojawar, set amidst the Aravalli hills, this little garrison fort was once a major principality of the Royal house of Marwar. Bestowed with the title of Rao, the nobles looked after this little fiefdom for about two centuries after its construction in the 18th century.

    DAY 9

    Experience countryside jeep safari

    Enjoy the village experience accompanied by one of the staff guides, a great way to experience life here as it unfolds before your eyes. The afternoon starts with a new adventure called Countryside jeep safari – It is said that the real India is its rural areas, the country around Jojawar boasts of very interesting landscapes, with the picturesque Aravali Hills in the east.

    DAY 10

    Travel to Udaipur, en-route visit Ranakpur Jain Temple

    Morning after breakfast check out of the hotel and travel towards the lake city of Udaipur, en-route pass lush green valleys, streams and heart-capturing views before visiting Ranakpur, with intricately carved marble Pillars and Domes. Tucked away in a remote valley in the Aravalli ranges, it boasts of one of the largest and most important Jain Temples in the country.

    DAY 11

    Excursion to Bhil Village followed by city tour of Udaipur visiting City Palace, Sahelion Ki Bari and boat ride at lake Pichola

    Morning embark on a Tribal Village experience, witness the culture of Bhil Tribes along with village walk. Later proceed for the guided tour visiting City Palace and its complex. The City Palace boasts a wonderful blend of Medieval, European and Chinese Architecture and has various towers, domes and arches, which add to the flavour of this heritage site. Thereafter visit Jagdish Temple, dating back to 1651 AD, it is an exquisite example of Indo Aryan architecture and Sahelion Ki Bari means Garden of Maids. Later enjoy a boat ride (shared) on Lake Pichola, an artificial freshwater lake, created in the year 1362 AD, and named after the nearby Picholi village.
