DAY 1

Arrive Kuching

On arrival, meet your Tour Executive who will assist and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, get to meet your fellow travellers and have a short briefing with your tour Leader in hotel. Later in the evening, your tour Leader will be happy to accompany you to the Monkey Bar (a short walk from the hotel) to get to know your traveling companions as well as some of the locals.

    DAY 2

    Semenggoh Orang Utan Center & Sarawak River Sunset Cruise

    Today after having breakfast, travel to Semenggoh Wildlife Centre which is located 24 kilometres from the centre of Kuching, the centre provides an excellent opportunity to view semi-wild orangutans in a natural setting. The centre receives orphaned or rescued orangutans and trains them to survive in the wild. Over 20 orangutans live in forest within the nature reserve and they often return to the centre to receive supplemental feeding. The feeding area is set in a natural amphi-theatre where it is possible to observe the orangutans coming down from the surrounding forest for the food provided. In the evening walk to the Waterfront Promenade. Later, on board the MV Equatorial for a 1½ hours Sunset River cruise on the Sarawak River. This is a wonderful way of observing Kuching City and will give you a feel of how transportation to and from the city was in the days before the introduction of air travel and modern road vehicles. In the distance, Mount Serapi provides a stunning backdrop for the city.

    DAY 3

    Drive to Batang Ai reservoir. Later, board a local longboat and travel upriver to the Iban village.

    Today after an early breakfast drive to Batang Ai reservoir. Along the way stop for lunch and stroll around the shops at Lachau Bazaar. Board a local longboat and travel upriver to the Iban village.

    Arrive and check in to the Lodge and visit the Nanga Sumpa Longhouse

    Afternoon, free to explore and evening visit Nanga Sumpa longhouse. Relax on the ruai (common verandah) and spend time with the Iban people. Interact with the community, learn about their culture, and enjoy some local rice wine. Stay two nights at Nanga Sumpa lodge.

    DAY 4

    Visit to Enseluai Waterfall and a short Rainforest Trek Trail

    Following breakfast hike the jungle trails along the river. Then continue upriver by longboat. Our destination is the scenic Enseluai waterfall. Arrive at the waterfall and have time to relax, swim and enjoy the rainforest surroundings. Enjoy a riverside BBQ lunch prepared by your Iban hosts. At 1330-1400 hours proceed by boat (approx. 15 mins) to the junction of the Delok and Lalang Rivers. Then trek for 1-2 hours along a rainforest trail through orangutan habitat.

    Check in & Relax

    Check-in and spend rest of the day in leisure. After dinner spend a quiet evening or go for a night walk near the lodge and enjoy the tranquillity of the forest. Stay two nights at Lubok Kasai jungle camp.

    DAY 5

    Travel to Kuching

    Breakfast in the camp. 0830 hours travel downriver to the Batang Ai Lake jetty, arriving around 1030-1100 hours. Then travel overland back to Kuching with lunch enroute. Arrive in Kuching approx. 1630 hours and be dropped off at your hotel.

    Check - in & relax

    Check into the hotel and the remaining afternoon is free to relax.

    DAY 6

    Transfer to airport to board a flight to Mulu National Park

    After breakfast, transfer to Kuching airport to board a flight to Mulu.

    Check-in & visit Deer & Lang Caves

    On arrival transfer to your accommodation, afternoon enjoy a scenic 3 km plank walk through primary rainforest to the entrance of famous Deer Cave. Next visit to the Lang’s Cave famous for the stalactites and stalagmites followed by Bat Observatory known for a spectacular exodus of about 2 million bats leave the cave in search of food. . Return to the park accommodation and stay two nights in Mulu National Park.

    DAY 7

    Visit Clearwater & Wind Caves

    Today, proceed by longboat upriver to Wind Cave famous for its impressive ‘King’s Chamber’, stalactites and stalagmites. Then to Clearwater Cave, a habitat for unique species of plants. Enjoy a picnic lunch, swim, or relax before returning. The rest of the afternoon is free for your leisure.

    DAY 8

    Transfer to board a flight to Kota Kinabalu

    After breakfast transfer to board flight to Kota Kinabalu.

    Upon arrival transfer to your hotel and rest of the day will be in leisure for own activities.

    DAY 9

    Transfer to board flight to Sandakan and boat ride on the Kinabatangan River

    After an early breakfast transfer to board flight to Sandakan and boat ride on the Kinabatangan River to reach Jungle Lodge.

    Check -in and later proceed by boat along the Kinabatangan which is best places to see wildlife

    After settling in, proceed by boat along the Kinabatangan, this River is Sabah’s longest river and arguably one of the best places to see wildlife. Stay two nights in Abai Jungle Lodge.

    DAY 10

    Excursion to Pitas Lake & Abai Village

    Early morning take another boat trip for bird watching and wildlife viewing at the nearby Pitas Lake. After breakfast at the lodge visit the nearby Abai village and participate in a tree-planting project. Enjoy a local-style lunch prepared and served by the villagers. Rest and relax before another cruise along the Kinabatangan River in search of wildlife.

    DAY 11

    Boat transfer to Sandakan and a flight to Kota Kinabalu

    From Abai, return by boat to Sandakan. Explore colorful local markets and after lunch, visit the Borneo Sun Bear Conversation Centre and the Sepilok Orangutan. Later, take a evening flight to Kota Kinabalu.

    Upon arrival transfer to your hotel and rest of the day will be in leisure for own activities.

    DAY 12

    Poring Hot Spring & Kinabalu Park

    After breakfast pick up at 0700 hours from city hotel. Depart Kota Kinabalu for the 3-hour drive to Poring Hot Spring. En route, make a stop at Nabalu village to savour local fruits and to shop for local handicrafts. There is also a look out tower providing views of the surrounding area and of Mount Kinabalu. Upon arrival at Poring proceed to the canopy walkway for a chance to observe wildlife and the trees from 100 feet above the forest floor. Afterwards take a dip in one of the soothing, hot mineral springs set in beautifully landscaped gardens. Poring also has an interpretive centre with information on the local flora and fauna. Proceed to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kinabalu Park. Explore the mountain gardens – home to many species of orchids, pitcher plants, birds, insects and butterflies – with your guide before returning to Kota Kinabalu in the late afternoon.

    Leisure day with farewell dinner

    Farewell Dinner start with Cocktails at the Sunset Bar followed by a set dinner in the private cabanas overlooking South China.

    DAY 13

    Departure transfer

    After breakfast tour finishes with a direct transfer to the Kota Kinabalu airport.
