The India Photography tour is suitable for all kinds of photography enthusiasts. This very carefully planned photography tour takes you into the most vibrant places of Rajasthan. Every place provides a different perspective, light, shade, landscape and people dressed in colourful local costumes to capture that perfect shot that every photographer looks for. The tour will start in Delhi which allows us to witness and capture this historic city as well as the modern New Delhi. Our next stop is Agra for the unmissable Taj Mahal for sunrise and sunset shoots. We make our way to another exciting destination Jaipur, the Pink City with its chaotic, intoxicating bazaars and the stunning Amber Fort. Next to Jodhpur, also known as the Blue City of Rajasthan, offers an amazing mix of culture and colour before travelling to Narlai, a small town that will offer us the opportunity to meet the local tribe and indigenous Mewari horses. Conclude in the Lake city of Udaipur shooting the Iconic City Palace and Lake Pichola.

DAY 1

Assistance on arrival at Indira Gandhi International airport

Arrive Delhi, the Political Capital of India. Delhi is history, and the monuments are tablets on which the history is written. Every conqueror did his best to possess Delhi and make it his capital. It is not a single city but a combination of eight cities that have been established here from as early as 900 BC to 1930 when the British completed the construction of New Delhi as the capital of Imperial India. It is therefore not surprising that the monuments of Delhi successfully mirror the development of the architectural styles in the country. On arrival, once you have completed the Immigration formalities and collected your baggage, please proceed to the arrival lounge where you will be welcomed by the TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS executive holding a placard who will assist you with a transfer.

    DAY 2

    Full day city tour of Old and New Delhi, visiting Spice Market with Rickshaw ride, Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, followed by a drive-past tour of New Delhi

    Proceed for a full day city tour, begin with Old Delhi with a drive past Red Fort to reach Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India built in red sandstone. Between the mosque and Chandni Chowk is a narrow shop-lined street along which you will be transported by cycle rickshaws on your most exhilarating journey of the tour. A rickshaw ride will take you through markets buzzing with people going about their daily chores, vendors selling their wares and shops decorated and ready for business. The rickshaw tour is a great way to discover a different aspect of Delhi and experience the energy of the city. Also visit Khari Baoli, a street in Old Delhi, known for its wholesale groceries and Asia's largest wholesale spice market selling all kinds of spices, nuts, herbs and other food products. Conclude your day with a visit to Qutab Minar; being one of the most important landmarks of Delhi, with calligraphy decorated interiors as well as inscriptions of verses of the Holy Quran.

    DAY 3

    Travel to Agra

    Today travel to Agra; the home to India's most famous landmark, the Taj Mahal. A poem of white marble, the Taj is described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love. The city provides avid glimpses of Mughal architecture. Formerly the capital of the Mughal Empire, the culture and heritage still exists in the bylanes of the city alluring travelers from far ends of the globe.

    On arrival you will be assisted with a transfer to your accommodation. A quick freshen up and then proceed to the Taj Mahal to shoot it from inside, outside and at perfect sunset taking advantage of the long shadows. India’s most iconic landmark, the Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The epitome of love, standing majestically on the banks of the river Yamuna, was built in the 17th century by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his queen.

    DAY 4

    Early morning Photograph Taj Mahal from Mehtab bagh and later visit Agra fort and Marble Inlay workshop

    Rise early and cross the Yamuna River to photograph the Taj Mahal from the beautiful Mehtab Bagh gardens, also known as the ‘Moonlight Garden’. Located north of Taj Mahal, on the opposite side of the Yamuna River, the Bagh (garden) provides a picture-perfect view of the Taj Mahal, making it a favorite for both sunrise and sunset spot for photographers and nature enthusiasts. Next Stop impressive Agra fort admired for its splendour, architectural beauty and magnificent halls. Built by Emperor Akbar, made of red sandstone, is a labyrinth of Mahals, Courtrooms, Gardens, secret passway and many impressive structures, exhibiting a fascinating mixture of Islamic and Hindu style of architecture. Conclude the day with a visit to a marble inlay workshop to see artisans creating a masterpiece in marble and precious gemstones.

    DAY 5

    Travel to Jaipur

    Assistance on departure and travel to Jaipur, the first planned city of India, is a treasure-trove of culture, art and history. Famous for its color, lifestyle and Rajasthani cuisine. It is a city exuding royal heritage and extravagant richness.

    Assistance on arrival and Photography at Hawa Mahal, evening explore and shoot bazaars

    Afternoon enjoy sightseeing and a bit of architectural photography at Hawa Mahal, the Palace of the Winds a stunning five-story sandstone building designed to allow ladies of the court to watch life on the streets below. Zoom in on the delicate latticework and honeycombed windows. Evening experience some of Jaipur's fabled bazaars, where you can shop, shoot or simply gasp at the amazing array of wares. On this photography tour make every moment special and memorable, capturing the essence of the city, the chaotic streets, hanging embroidered clothing and quilts, colourful block printed textiles, lacquered brass work shops, miniature marble carvings and blue potteries.

    DAY 6

    Sightseeing tour visiting Amber Fort and City Palace

    Morning proceed for city tour of Jaipur starting with a drive to Amber Fort. Then visit City Palace Museum which boasts to have some of the priceless handwritten Hindu scriptures of the ancient past, miniature delicate paintings, preserved painted ceilings and the elephant saddles (haudas), and is registered in the Guinness Book of Records to contain the biggest silver objects in the world. Rest of the day is at leisure and to enjoy the facilities at your hotel.

    DAY 7

    Travel to Jodhpur

    Morning assistance on departure and travel to Jodhpur. Today you will experience the feeling of travelling back in time with a journey to Jodhpur. Also known as the "The Blue City", and "Gateway to Thar", Jodhpur is famous for its Mehrangarh fort, blue houses, temples, sweets and snacks. Apart from the fort, there are multiple temples, lakes, shopping streets that are like a mirage from a bygone era.

    On arrival in Jodhpur, you will be assistance for check-in at hotel. Later visit Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest forts in India, where the beauty and grandeur of numerous palaces inside narrates a saga of hard sandstone yielding to the chisels of skilled Jodhpuri sculptors. Inside, the collection of musical instruments, palanquins, furniture and cannons on the fort’s ramparts are all well preserved.

    DAY 8

    Excursion to Bishnoi Village by Jeep

    Morning proceed for a jeep safari to Bishnoi village, a rural Rajasthani village to experience and witness the amazing world of the Bishnoi tribe who are strict vegetarians and animals are considered as God and when you are invited into the cool shade of their huts you may well see a woman suckling an injured or weak black-buck calf. The Bishnoi tribal women wear richly coloured clothes, where the men wear a spotless bright white. Afternoon time is at leisure.

    DAY 9

    Travel to Udaipur, enroute visit Narlai to shoot Marwari warrior horse, and Ranakpur Jain temple

    Today we travel to Udaipur, en-route visit Narlai to shoot Marwari warrior horse, a very exclusive rare and photogenic breed of Marwari horses with its great story of existence and current bloodline. Drive to Udaipur and en-route visit Ranakpur, renowned for its Jain temples with intricately carved marble pillars and domes believed to have been built in 1439AD. The temple rests on 1444 elegantly carved pillars no two pillars are identical.

    DAY 10

    Scenic boat ride and photographic opportunities at Jag Niwas Palace and Old city by rickshaw

    This morning, a scenic boat ride on Lake Pichola provides an opportunity to capture the luminous white marble facade of Jag Niwas, now the Taj Lake Palace, and its shimmering reflection on the water. Lake Pichola, is a man-made freshwater lake, created in the year 1362 AD, named after the nearby Picholi village. Two islands, Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir are located within Pichola Lake and have been developed with several palaces to provide views of the lake. Incredible photographic opportunities abound at this palace complex, which blends medieval, European, and Chinese architecture and is richly decorated with inlaid mirror-work, mosaics, and frescoes. Later, explore the narrow streets of the old city by rickshaw, and stop to photograph a local market.
