Royal Colombo Golf Club
The Royal Colombo Golf Club in Sri Lanka has been at the forefront of the Sri Lankan golf scene since its inauguration in 1879, receiving the Royal Seal from King George V in 1928. Measuring 6560-yards from the championship tees the course is not long by modern-day standards. Accompanied by your caddies, walk the course with your host and experience another side to urban life in Sri Lanka on this half-day experience. A group of trees protects the right edge of the narrow fairway, and the closer you can stay to these trees the better the angle to the green you will have. Too far left and you will require a swinging draw over the pond to find the green. Surrounded by residential areas and business establishments, the Royal Colombo Golf Club is a sanctuary situated in the heart of Colombo. In contrast to its surroundings, it is an exquisite and tranquil environment to relax and unwind. Why not wrap up your time together over refreshments at the clubhouse.
Travel to Kandy
Kandy is a major city in Sri Lanka, located in the Central Province, of Sri Lanka. It is the second largest city in the country after Colombo. Kandy is both an administrative and religious city and is also the capital of the Central Province. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988. But Kandy is also so much more than its number one attraction; it's a city of delightful chaos, with its bustling streets, ancient temples, colonial architecture, aristocratic gardens and the glorious Kandy lake forming the backdrop to a perfect few days amongst Sri Lanka’s lush green hills.
