This ancient living place is renowned for its spectacular craftsmanship by skilled artisans and remains unparalleled in its display of Newari architecture and exquisite collection of both pagoda and Hindu style temples and palaces. Besides the old Royal Palace, here is 17th-century Krishna Mandir, noted for rare stone carvings on its walls. Other landmarks within the Square are Tusha-hity (water spout), Sundari Chowk, Keshav Narayan Chowk. Conclude your day with visit to Bhaktapur, an ancient city housing unique culture, tradition, arts and finest craftsmanship. Bhaktapur is a completely medieval world with well-preserved temples and monuments, the peasants and artisans. The major sightseeing places are The Durbar square, the Golden Gate, Palace of 55 windows, 5 storied Nyatapola Temple etc.
