Arrive Colombo & Travel to Negombo
Welcome to Sri Lanka!!! Upon arrival at Colombo airport, Total Holiday Options Executive will meet you at the arrival lounge holding a placard. Followed by transfer to Negombo. Negombo or Meegamuwa in Sinhalese is a major city in Sri Lanka, situated on the west coast and at the mouth of the Negombo Lagoon in Western Province. Situated six kilometres from the International airport of Sri Lanka, is a characteristic predominantly Christian fishing town with narrow streets and small boutiques, and many historic churches to visit and see, with its routes running back to the arrival of the Portuguese. A resort town dotted with many hotels and restaurants and the famous lagoon, where one could take a ride in an outrigger sailing canoe and experience the authentic fisherman’s life or explore the town to witness the locals day to day activity.

Negombo Cycling City Tour & Welcome Dinner
8:00 am meet up with your guide outside the Hotel, then begin your three-and-a-half-hour exploration of this bustling town. We ride along the coastal road passing many morning fishing activities. We paddle through the fishing village and learn their lifestyles and stop at one of the fishermen’s house to taste a cup of tea. Coconut toddy is another highlight stop at a “wadiya” and learn about the toddy tapping and sample some fresh toddy if lucky. As we pass through the Coconut Plantations your guide will elaborate on the many uses and benefits of coconut. Evening enjoy welcome dinner at a local restaurant serving Sri Lankan cuisine.
Travel to Dambulla
Today travel to Dambulla. Tucked in the Central Province of Sri Lanka, the humble town of Dambulla is a treasure trove of historical monuments that are worth a visit. Of all the places to visit in Dambulla, the amazing Dambulla cave temple complex must be first on your list. It is the largest and most beautiful one in the country, with spectacular sculpture & painting strewn all over. Dambulla is also home to the largest rose quartz mountain in South Asia and the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. On our way we stop by a roadside fruit market to taste the seasonal fruits. Equally worthy of time and attention are the majestic Sigiriya fort and the Minneriya national park located close by.

Cycle to the Dambulla Cave Temples a UNESCO World Heritage Site, through the backroads. The complex spans five caves and contains over 150 Buddha images, some of which date as far back as the 1st-century BC.
Sigiriya Rock Fortress Cycling Tour & Minneriya National Park
This half-day cycling tour of Sigiriya takes you on a journey into the areas surrounding the Sigiriya Rock Fortress a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Climb this imposing citadel site known as “Lion’s Rock” and explore the ruins of ancient palaces, moats, shrines, frescoes and water gardens. Cycling in Sigiriya will allow you to interact with locals, see vegetable fields, rice fields and various crops farmed by villagers. Afternoon enjoy a jeep safari at Minneriya National Park. The Park is based largely around a huge reservoir and serves as an important gathering place for Sri Lanka’s large elephant population.
Cycling Tour Anuradhapura
Proceed to Anuradhapura a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the north-central part of the Island which was the first capital (5th century BC - 9th century AD), the center of the island's Buddhist civilization and undoubtedly the grandest city of ancient Sri Lanka and visit the ruined city of Anuradhapura. Here you will see the remains of the Brazen Palace (which was once 9 stories high) and the Sri Maha Bodhi a Bo Tree, which is over 2000 years old and grew from the branch of the very tree beneath which the Buddha attained enlightenment. As you ride along the streets, byways, and green lawns of Anuradhapura we will come across massive stupas, ingenious irrigation works, palaces and monasteries.
Travel to Kandy (En-route visit Matale Spice Garden)
Today we travel to Kandy nestled in the plateau in central Sri Lanka, Kandy Highland is a paradise getaway surrounded by mountains, tea plantations, and a rainforest known for its biodiversity. The city reveals imposing colonial era and Kandyan architecture, none more impressive than the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism's most sacred shrines. En-route visit Matale spice plantation and try different spices and herbs, helping you gain an insight into the long spice history of the island. Step into the unpolluted, green garden, where you can see how herbs and spices are grown in their natural environment, then learn about its medicinal values and use in Sri Lankan cuisine to enhance the taste of specialty meals. Visit Royal Botanical Gardens & Temple of The Tooth Relic
On Arrival visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden. 147 acres in extent; Started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Gampola and Kandy. There are more than 5,000 species of trees, plants and creepers. Some rare and endemic as well as flora from the tropical world are found in the gardens. Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with tourists. There are 5 Palm Avenues beautifying the gardens, the earliest and tallest Palm Avenue (Royal Palm Avenue) was planted in 1905 and the Double Coconuts from the Seashells Island, with the largest seed of all plants in the world is one such avenue. Evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, which houses the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, is an important landmark in Kandy, then walk around the Upper Lake area to enjoy the view of Kandy.

Horton Plains Excursion
Today we wake up early and travel to Horton Plains for an excursion with your chauffeur guide. Everything is so picture-perfect here your photography skills will certainly be put to the test. Walk through the grasslands, patches of evergreen forests and cloud forests interspersed with freshwater streams and mist-covered swamps. The only sound to be heard is that of water gushing, birds and the wind blowing wildly through the trees. This UNESCO designated Natural World Heritage site, being a biodiversity hotspot is one of the best places to observe various species of plants, mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. However the key attraction at Horton Plains is a sheer precipice with an 870m (2,854 ft) drop called “World’s End” – from where one can see the world stretch out to all eternity and the Baker’s fall, known as one Sri Lanka’s most beautiful waterfalls with its water pounding down a 20m (66ft) high stone slab.
Cycle to Ella
Leaving the hotel, we start on the descent about 1000m in elevation over about 20km. The scenery through today is beautiful at every turn. Tea gardens as far as the eye can see. Stop for lunch in a small town and taste the hill country cuisine. Ella, home to striking colorful scenery, with a great activity for those that are really interested in hiking and trekking, through tranquil woodland and tea plantations. Sri Lanka's hill country is a must for everyone visiting the island. Ella is a perfect base for relaxing, with lots of fantastic walks through tea plantations to temples and waterfalls. The Ella Gap, Little Adam’s Peak, Bambaragala Peak, Ravana Falls and Ravana Caves are few famous visiting sites. The Nine Arch Bridge also called the Bridge in the Sky, is a viaduct bridge in Sri Lanka. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country.
Cycling Tour of Ella
Today we wake up early and enjoy a city tour of Ella by Cycle. Ella is a famous mountain village and a paradise of hills with stunning views. Start your day from Ella rock, which is a great activity for those that are really interested in hiking and trekking, through tranquil woodland and tea plantations. It is wise to head up first thing in the morning for amazing panoramic views. Climb down from Ella rock and cycle to visit the nine arches bridge which is one of the iconic bridges in Sri Lanka, located in Demodara, between Ella and Demodara railway stations. This massive bridge has been built entirely of solid rocks, bricks, and cement without using a single piece of steel. When one stands underneath it and looks up there is a beautiful sight of ‘nine skies’ through the nine arches, hence it’s called as Nine skies bridge.
Travel to Thanamalwila (Cycle towards Udawalawa)
Travel to Thanamalwila and start cycling toward Udawalawa, ride along the Samanala Weva Reservoir, which is part of the second-largest hydroelectric project in Sri Lanka. Along the way stop to witness Chena village farming and enjoy a cup of tea in a farmer home.

Evening, enjoy Safari at Udawalawe National Park. This park has an area of 30,821 hectares and covers the catchment area of the Udawalawe reservoir. It provides a home for displaced animals from the Walawe Development Project. Rich in elephant population the park is having an estimated 500 or more elephants. The park is known to be a good breeding ground, for Baby elephants, guarded by their elders are seen around the year. To see elephants in their natural habitat visitors are advised to travel in Jungle Green vehicles and similar colored clothes. White and bright colors are quickly spotted by elephants.
Cycle to Galle
We first transfer to a high point then enjoy a fun descent, just so that we remember what that feels like. The route today features lots of variety and the short option concludes at lunch. Stay an overnight night in Galle.

Travel to Colombo
Travel to Colombo. On the western coast of the island, Colombo is a sprawling city home to over five million people. It is traditionally centered around Fort, a business district with its roots as a fortified Portuguese trading port. Hot and busy, recent years have seen Colombo gradually transform from a place visitors could not avoid to a fascinating destination well worth exploring. Its historic quarters and grand 19th-century architecture have been restored, the seafront spruced up and cosmopolitan vibe revived with numerous museums, galleries and characterful eateries opening that celebrate its unique and diverse heritage. The city is dotted with temples, shrines, cafes, markets and is best explored by Tuk-Tuk or with your vehicle.
