This fascinating and varied tour takes you across the vast Indonesian Archipelago from Sumatra, across the island of Java and finishing at Bali’s Denpasar. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to spot wild orangutans in the Sumatran rainforest, stay on an island in Lake Toba, explore Java’s old towns of Yogyakarta, Solo and Malang, discover the World Heritage sites of Borobudur and Prambanan and take a dawn jeep ride to the summit of Bromo volcano. Visit the famous historical sites, magnificent scenery and yet you will have plenty of time to experience everyday life in the local markets and test sumptuous local street food.

DAY 1

Upon arrival at Medan airport, you will be meet your Tour Executive. Those who is arriving by early flight can enjoy a short city tour starts around 10.00 am and visit the Great Mosque with its imposing tiled archway and the Sultan’s Palace. After lunch, transfer into the interior and the small, riverside village of Bukit Lawang, a World Heritage Gunung Leuser National Park. Stay two nights in Bohorok.

DAY 2

After breakfast, a rainforest hike in Gunung Leuser to discover the amazing flora and fauna and Sumatran orangutans. Enjoy a picnic lunch before arriving at the feeding platform where the orangutans are fed twice daily. On our way back we follow a quite steep trail through the forest to reach a bend in the river crossing by a cable and pulley are driven dugout canoe.

DAY 3

Travel to the picturesque town of Berastagi, a former Dutch hill station and now renowned for tropical fruits as well as being home to the Batak minority. Afternoon explore Batak village with their spectacular traditional longhouses and stop at a bazaar selling fresh fruits, flowers and vegetables. Stay overnight at Berastagi.

DAY 4

Today travel towards Parapat through the Tanah Karo Highlands. En route stop at the Lingga Village to see families of Karo Batak Tribe live together and at Sumatra’s highest waterfall. Board local Ferry at Samosir Island and stay two nights stay at Parapat.

DAY 5

Today explore two villages Ambarita and Tomok for their archaeologically importance and travel between the village using a local boat. We walk through the local bazaar to visit the 200 years old boat-shaped sarcophagus of King Sidabutar.

DAY 6

After breakfast enjoy a boat ride on Lake Toba and transfer to Medan airport to board a flight to Jogjakarta. On arrival transfer to the hotel and stay two nights in Jogjakarta.

DAY 7

Start full day city tour from the Sultans Palace, A World Heritage site built-in 1755. Royal Garden, the water castle of Taman Sari and Wisata village to visit a unique mosque built on a single pillar built in the 20th century.  Later visit Prambanan village Temple known to be constructed in the 9th century.  Evening free to relax or explore a local bazaar.

DAY 8

After breakfast visit Borobudur Temple, the biggest Buddhist temple in the world and also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Later transfer to airport to board a flight to Bali and on arrival transfer to Ubud. Stay three nights in Ubud.

DAY 9

Today we discover many diverse angles of Balinese life, from culture, food to agriculture, on this unique trek to Kintamani in the eastern Bali highlands. Enjoy a Barong Dance performance, a classic Balinese art form that narrates Bali’s mythological history. Visit “Elephant Cave,” an ancient sanctuary with creatures carved into the glistening stone. Upon reaching Kintamani, take in the stunning views of mountains, lakes, and Tegalalang Rice Terraces.

DAY 10

Visit Tarovillage famous for fruit and herbs plantation, later explore Batur Volcano known to have erupted 26 times between 1804 to 2000, buried Batur Village and Ulun Danu Temple with its lava and ashes.

DAY 11

After breakfast, leave for Lovina, en route visit Tabanan Regency of Bali, explore the fruit and flower market at Candi Kuning. Enjoy a leisurely hike through the rice terraces of Jatiluwih overlooking a shimmering view of terraced rice fields. Stay overnight in Lovina.

DAY 12

Early morning, we board a traditional boat called "jukung" to watch Dolphins. After breakfast travel to Sanur. Stay two nights in Sanur.

DAY 13

Enjoy leisurely breakfast as both days are kept free for you to relax or explore the Jalan Danau Tamblingan offering a good number of local eateries, cafes, arts and crafts shops. Those who are interested to watch cultural Kecak Dance performances can visit the Uluwatu temple.

DAY 14

After breakfast tour finishes with the direct transfer to the Bali airport to board your onward flight.
