You experience Indian Agriculture during our visits to the milk collection stations, on the short ox cart ride to the farm village, spontaneous stops to see the mustard farm harvest, visit the flower seed farm, and rice harvesting on the farms. As we drive through the countryside you will see the farm tractor repair shops, trucks hauling the sugar cane from the farm, and the many cattle & goats roaming freely along the roadside. Enjoy the smiling faces of the colourful Indian people and the smell of the spices at the street vendors. Visit one of the 7 wonders of the world – The Taj Mahal, majestic forts, and opulent palaces. Embrace the chaos of the traffic and the sound of the horns honking.

DAY 1

On arrival, once you have completed the Immigration formalities and collected your baggage, please proceed to the arrival lounge where you will be welcomed by the TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS executive holding a placard who will assist you with a transfer to hotel and three nights stay in Delhi.

DAY 2

Enjoy breakfast and an introduction to the tour by the Tour Manager before, starting full day sightseeing of Delhi. Visit the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride past the several busy bazaars and Asia’s largest spice market which has existed since the 17th-century. Later visit Qutub Minar a World Heritage site, this is the tallest brick minaret in the world.

DAY 3

This morning, a drive into the local countryside and visit the Amul Milk Plant, a state-of-the-art dairy factory that produces milk, curd, ice cream and cheese. Later, visit an organic and herbal farm, for cocktails and dinner. Later we visit the IARI National Agricultural Science Museum and Institute.

DAY 4

Travel to Agra, afternoon visit impressive 16th century Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and evening free to relax. Stay two nights in Agra.

DAY 5

An early start to visit the Taj Mahal, the world’s greatest monument of love and devotion with its superb craftsmanship of semi-precious stones inlaid in the marble. Afternoon visit to a marble inlay workshop to see artisans creating a masterpiece in marble and precious gemstones.

DAY 6

After breakfast travel to Jaipur, the pink city of India. On arrival check into the Taj Rambagh Palace, spread over 47 acres of tranquil, landscaped gardens, Rambagh Palace is Jaipur’s foremost Royal Palace residence. After a brief rest get ready for a Hi-Tea at the Rambagh Palace, Savour the best teas of the world with an exquisite array of exotic canapés and pastries while watching the resident peacocks strut in the gardens. Stay two nights in Jaipur.

DAY 7

Start sightseeing tour with an excursion to the majestic Amber Fort, constructed from yellow and pink sandstone and gleaming white marble. Photo Stop at Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds. At the City Palace Museum, witness the curated collection of miniature paintings, ancient weapons and traditional Rajasthani royal costumes. Late afternoon women will have Heena painting and men will learn the art of Rajasthani Turban tying. Rest of the evening is free to explore and indulge in shopping at the colourful bazaars of Jaipur.

DAY 8

After breakfast travel to Hisar, afternoon visit Firoz Shah Palace Complex built in 1354 AD and Lat Ki Masjid. Evening free to explore the local bazaar and stay two nights in Hisar.

DAY 9

After breakfast visit the Blue Bird Lake, Hisar is a resident and endangered migratory bird wetland habitat, and OP Jindal Gyan Kendra Haryana Agricultural University. Explore the farms where new farming methods are being evolved in the form of the transfer of technology from traditional farming techniques.

DAY 10

Travel to Ludhiana, a well-known textile and garments manufacturing hub of India. Evening we explore the wholesale textile market. Stay overnight in Ludhiyana.

DAY 11

After breakfast visit the Punjab Agriculture University to understand the researches that are carried in the agricultural field and dairy farming. Later travel to Amritsar and evening visit Wagah Border for the famous Indo Pak parade ceremony. Conclude your evening with a Punjabi meal at a local restaurant. Stay Four nights in Amritsar.

DAY 12

Start your day with the most heartwarming cultural experience, visit the holiest Sikh temple known as Golden Temple. Witness one of the largest community kitchen, where at least 80,000 people are fed every day. Later visit Jallianwala Bagh and evening free to explore Hall Bazaar.

DAY 13

After breakfast, take an excursion to the Daburji Village, witness typical farming village life, hop on the tractor ride through the green fields and later meet a local family to enjoy homecooked lunch. Evening free to relax or explore a local bazaar.

DAY 14

Today take an excursion to the Gurdaspur region, a rural town to experience and be hands-on with some of the daily activities of an Indian farmer or simply take a stroll in the village market.

DAY 15

Morning travel to Chandigarh, Spend this afternoon sightseeing and visit the broad boulevards, Nek Chand’s Rock Garden. Stay overnight in Chandigarh.

DAY 16

After breakfast tour finishes with a direct transfer to the Chandigarh airport.
