On arrival at the airport, meet your Tour Executive who will assist you to transfer to the hotel for two nights stay in Delhi.
After breakfast transfer to Delhi airport to board the onward flight to Varanasi; abounds in the art of silk weaving, an exotic work of art which manifests itself in precious Banarasi silk saris and silk brocades which are cherished as collector’s items across the world, even today. The city is also renowned for its rich tapestry of music, arts, crafts and education. Arrive Varanasi, meet THO executive at the airport for assistance and transfer to hotel. We enjoy an afternoon at the Silk weaving village witnessing the art of silk weaving and shop for beautiful souvenirs. Later in the Evening witness the Grand prayer (Aarti) ceremony conducted on the Ghats of River Ganges. You will be transferred to a surreal world, as dozens of big lamps are lighted and swayed in a semi-circle, in tandem by the priests to offer prayers, while singing of Vedic hymns and playing of the traditional instruments, while the visitors release 100 of small earthen lamps with flickering lights. Wake up early morning and proceed to enjoy the heritage walk and sunrise boat ride on river Ganges. The river will be thronged with early-morning bathers, raising their faces to the rising sun and reciting the sacred mantra. One can see the perpetual movement of the pilgrims on the steps, the vivid colours of their clothes glistening against the pale gold water, the triangular flags fluttering atop the temple spires. Varanasi is associated with the promotion of spiritualism, mysticism and Sanskrit, yoga and Hindi language. Visit the Banaras ghat, Assi ghat & various other ghats. Post morning tour return to the hotel for breakfast. Later we’ll proceed to visit Sarnath; the place where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon at the deer park after his enlightenment. Sarnath is one of the four holy Buddhist sites sanctioned by Lord Buddha himself for pilgrimage. Sarnath is one of the richest in Buddhist antiquities ranging in date from the times of Ashoka down to the 12th century A.D. Ashoka built here the Dharmarajika Stupa and nearby a pillar surmounted by the magnificent capital of four adorned Lions, which today forms the national emblem of India. Stay overnight in Varanasi. In time breakfast and travel to Lucknow. Known as ’The City of Nawabs’ and is an intriguing blend of old-world charm, beautiful architecture, warm hospitality, and rich heritage. In the evening enjoy a walking food tour which allows you to hop-in, hop-out of the world-famous traditional roadside eateries. Stay two nights in Lucknow.
Enjoy a city sightseeing tour and visit Bada Imambara, Government Museum. In the afternoon visit a chikan workshop that will mesmerise you as you watch skilled workers delicately working in unique styles and stitches on very light cotton cloths. Evening free to take a leisure walk in Hazrat Ganj and Aminabad local bazaar.
After breakfast we then travel to Jaipur, en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted splendid capital of Emperor Akbar built in the 16th Century. The construction of the complex was started in 1571 but this city was abandoned in 1884 due to the scarcity of water. The entire complex is built with red sandstone and marble which is also used in the more elegant structures inside the complex. The architecture is an interesting mix of Hindu and Jain traditions interspersed with Islamic features. The architectural grandeur of this deserted city cannot be described in words and one can only experience the aura of its magnificent edifices by seeing them. Later continue your drive to Jaipur, upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Stay overnight in Jaipur.
The morning after an early breakfast proceed for a guided visit of Amber Fort, En-route photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace); Admire the facade of the Hawa Mahal, poetically known as the “Palace of Winds”. Continue to Amber Fort (Shared Jeep), the former ancient capital of Jaipur state built by Raja Man Singh, the Rajput commander of Akbar's army, which is a superb example of Rajput architecture. Later proceed for a guided tour of Jaipur city starting with City Palace Museum; boasts to have some of the priceless handwritten Hindu scriptures of the ancient past, miniature delicate paintings preserved painted ceilings and the elephant saddles, and is registered in the Guinness Book of Records to contain the biggest silver objects in the world. Conclude your sightseeing with a visit to Jantar Mantar; one of the famed observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh is a complex of astronomical instruments, chiselled out of stone which provides fairly accurate information to this day. Stay overnight in Jaipur.
Enjoy your leisurely breakfast followed by a transfer to Neemrana Fort; the Palace is among India's oldest heritage resorts. Each room is decorated in an individual style with period furniture, private open terraces and courtyards. The 15th-century step-well functions as a swimming pool and is often referred to as the pool-on-the plateau. Enjoy the luxury of the hotel or explore this historic and picturesque town as the day is kept free for your own activities. This magnificent town is located in the Alwar district of Rajasthan and commands scenic vistas of its rugged surroundings. Stay overnight in Neemrana.
After a relaxed breakfast, travel back to Delhi. Your tour will finish by late afternoon with direct transfer to Delhi airport to board flight for onward journey.
