Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is compulsory on all of our journeys. Speak to us or your travel agent about comprehensive insurance to cover your travel arrangements. This must critically cover medical expenses in case of an emergency. Note that travel insurance automatically provided with credit cards generally does not provide adequate cover. Its your responsibility to ensure that you have appropriate and comprehensive travel insurance.
Medical Information
Our elderly travellers who are aged 70 years or more, or with a per-existing condition that affects their fitness to travel or any medical dietary requirement, must be advised at the time of booking. We recommend all travellers should visit their Doctor for these aforementioned purposes and/or to confirm that they are physically able to undertake the day-to-day requirements of the tour.
Selecting Your Holiday Type
Most of our journeys are suited to those with normal fitness and mobility levels. To assist you in choosing a journey best for you we have graded our tours;
Easy Paced: These programs are set at a comfortable pace. Walking and climbing of stairs involved is generally in and around major tourist attractions though you may require walking from road till boat jetty while embarking or disembarking boats.
Moderate: These tours are not strenuous but you will require good amount of fitness as they may include days with long periods of walking or soft trekking, climbing of stairs, embarking and disembarking boats and where longer distances may be travelled by uneven roads.
Adventurous: These refer to programs where your physical fitness needs to be on highest level. Trekking, cycling, climbing, walking and more adventurous activities may be included.
Getting Around
Comfort is our first priority. All our coaches are air-conditioned with push back seats. We even offer 30-35 seater coach when only 16 people are in a group, providing everyone a window seats. Our train journeys in air-conditioning sleeper class where bedding is provided by the train attendant and itineraries that include domestic flight to connect destination we use economy class.
Passport & Visas
India: Visa is required for all foreign nationals and you must obtain an Indian visa prior to leaving home as visa processing varies country to country. Passport must be valid for at least six months before you commence travel in India. Travel to Sikkim requires a special permit; application may be made when applying for a standard Indian visa at the local Indian High Commission.
As of 25 Sep 2013 nationals and passport holder of New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, Finland, Luxem Bourg, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and Myanmar can avail visa-on-arrival (VoA) facility upon disembarking at international airports Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi and Trivandrum only. You will require to pay fee along with require documentation and is subject to verification and satisfaction of the Immigration. Please contact high commission of India for updated information.
Sri Lanka: Every tourist visiting Sri Lanka required visa prior to departure. Visa must be obtained atleast 01 months prior to arrival in Sri Lanka by visiting www.eta.gov.lk The Tourist visa is valid for stay within 30 days. Passport must be valid for at least six months before you commence travel to Sri Lanka. Fee will apply.
Nepal: Visa is required for all foreign nationalities and the best way to apply for visa is from the Royal Nepalese diplomatic missions in your home country. Tourist Visa also can be obtained on arrival. Passport must be valid for at least six months before you commence travel in Nepal. Fee will apply.
Bhutan: All foreign nationals require visa for Bhutan.
Visa can be arranged by TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS. To process this we require clear readable colour copy of passport (page containing passport no and face picture in JPEG or PDF format) and current colour passport photograph and at least 30 days prior to date of entry into Bhutan. Remaining validity of passport should be at least 6 months from the date of exit from Bhutan.
Tourism Council of Bhutan issues visa clearance letter closer to travelling date which we email or fax you or your local travel agent. Travellers are required to produce aforesaid visa clearance copy at the time of check-in for their flights while those entering Bhutan by surface via Phuentsholing or Samdrup Jonkhar, they are required to produce this Visa Clearance letter at the Immigration counter. Actual visa is stamped at passport on arrival in Bhutan.
Visa only service is not offered in Bhutan, you would have to book a service tour package from TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS that includes accommodation, guided tours, transfers etc

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Welcome to India!!! Upon your arrival at the airport, your Tour Director will meet you at the arrival lounge holding a placard. Thereafter he will assist with transfer and check-in at the pre-booked hotel. Stay for two nights in Delhi. (No Meals)
Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing
Enjoy breakfast and a brief introduction of the city before starting city tour of old and New Delhi. Visit Qutb Minar, India Gate, Gandhi Memorial, explore Chandni Chowk and largest spice market. (B, D)
Day 03: Delhi – Agra
After leisurely breakfast transferred to board a flight to Delhi and drive to Agra, home to India's most famous landmark, the Taj Mahal. A poem of white marble, the Taj is described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love. Check in to your hotel and later around 5 pm we visit an Indian family for an interactive cooking session with home cooked food. This is not a cooking class with a professional chef, rather it is a chance to visit an Indian home for insights into their daily life and an introduction to a very tasty regional cuisine by the lady of the house. Day 04: Agra
Early morning visit Taj Mahal, the epitome of love, standing on the banks of the river Yamuna and built in the 17th century by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan. The white marble building changes its hue with the variations in daylight. Made entirely of white marble and decorated with exquisite pietra dura work, different types of precious and semi-precious stones were used in the intricate inlay work done on the interiors. This magnificent monument is built on traditional architecture style ’four gardens’ plan, split by watercourses, and reflects the influence of Persian architecture. After breakfast visit, Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar, which is a mixture of the Islamic and Hindu styles of architecture and Itimad-Ud-Daulah Tomb, nicknamed the baby Taj; another fine example of Mughal architecture. Day 05: Agra – Bharatpur
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Bharatpur, famous for Keoladeo Ghana National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in all the way a paradise for ornithologists. Arrive Bharatpur and check-in at the hotel. EveningvisitKeoladeo Ghana National Park, a 29sq km UNESCO World Heritage Site by cycle rickshaw. The Keoladeo Ghana National Park declared a World Heritage site, is arguably India's most spectacular bird sanctuary. Each year before the arrival of winter, thousands of birds migrate from the frozen waters of Siberia, Tibet, Mongolia and Eastern Europe to India. One of the best destinations for these birds is the marsh of Bharatpur, which lies between Agra and Jaipur in the north-western part of India. The reserve derives its name (Keoladeo) from a temple devoted to Lord Shiva which is situated in the park. Stay overnight in Bharatpur. (B, D)
Day 06: Bharatpur – Jaipur
After breakfast travel to Jaipur, en-route visit Abhaneri Stepwell, an ancient village in Rajasthan is renowned for its post-Gupta or early medieval monuments, Chand Baori – one of the largest step wells in India, which dated back to 10th century. Rest of the day free to relax or explore local Bazaar. Stay two nights in Jaipur. (B, D)
Day 07: Jaipur
After breakfast proceed for guided sightseeing of Jaipur and visit the Amber Fort with a photo stop at Hawa Mahal, City Palace Museum and the Jantar Mantar a complex of astronomical instruments, chiselled out of stone which provides fairly accurate information to this day. Women will have their hands designed by Henna Artists and men will learn the traditional Rajasthani Turban tying, there are many variations of the turbans in Rajasthan, and it is said that the style of the turban changes with every 15 km you travel. Day 08: Jaipur – Jodhpur
Today you will experience the feeling of travelling back in time with a journey to Jodhpur, while you catch a glimpse of the magnificence ancient desert city built on the edge of the Thar Desert.The evening is free to stroll the local bazaars famous for textiles, embroidered leather shoes, lacquerware, antiques, carpets and classic silver jewelry. Day 09: Jodhpur
Visit Mehrangarh Fort built by Rao Jodha in 1459; one of the largest forts in India, the beauty and grandeur of numerous palaces inside narrates a saga of hard sandstones yielding to the chisels of skilled Jodhpuri sculptures. Afternoon free to relax or explore the local bazaar. (B, D)
Day 10: Jodhpur – Udaipur
After breakfast travel towards the lake city of Udaipur, En-route visit Ranakpur, with intricately carved marble Pillars and Domes. Tucked away in a remote valley in the Aravalli ranges and one of the most important Jain Temples in the country. Two nights in Udaipur. (B, D)
Day 11: Udaipur
Start a day with a walking tour of Trible Village to experience the lifestyle of locals. Later visit City Palace one of the most famous architectural marvels of the city and Crystal Gallery and conclude your day with a boat ride on Lake Pichola. (B, D)
